Reports of a potential bed bug problem in a local movie theatre came to light this week. Complaints from the movie-goer has prompted an investigation into the potential problem using a bed bug dectection dog.
News reports indicate no live bed bugs were found. This is good news but bed bugs can be anywhere these days and can be introduced into your home fairly easily.
Bed Bug Bites
The news report from 24 Hours mentions bed bug bites - they say in the article that the bites were not consistant with bed bug bites and that a doctor confirmed it was bed bug bites.
Research has shown that you cannot determine if it is a bed bug bite based on the bite alone (even your doctor can't - they can narrow it down to "consistant with an insect bite" but they cannot say, without a doubt, that it was a bed bug).
